# HOW TO CREATE AN ETALK USING THE CONTAINER
This etalk setup is suitable for eduction purpose. It permits to use and test the etalk application on the user's own plateform. it uses Virtualbox drivers to create a linux environment and use the docker-compose tool to set-up the application services (etalk php/apache, mysql, phpmyadmin).

## FIRST STEP : INSTALL DOCKER

INSTALL docker for your deskstop https://www.docker.com/products/overview
1. INSTALL docker (free) for your desktop (windows, osx or linux) https://www.docker.com/products/docker#
## SECOND STEP : SETUP DOCKER ENVIRONMENT AND START THE APPLICATION

3. Open a terminal in osx and linux or open the "docker quick start terminal" in Windows (that comes along with the installation).

4. Firstly, start a vm machine or create a new one using :
TO START VM :
```
docker-machine start etalk-vm
```
OR
TO CREATE NEW VM :
```
$ docker-machine create --driver virtualbox etalk-vm
$ docker-machine env etalk-vm
# to configure the shell :
$ eval $(docker-machine env etalk-vm)
```
5. Secondly, build the image with :

7. get your ip with :

$ docker-machine ip etalk-vm
```
On osx or linux :
go to the url http://localhost:88 for the etalk view or http://localhost:88/edit for the edit view
Then go to the URL `http://<your ip>:88` for the collection view or `http://<your ip>:88/edit` for the edit view
On windows :
go to the url http://192.168.99.100:88 for the etalk view or http://192.168.99.100:88/edit for the edit view
## THIRD STEP : MAKE YOU OWN ETALK
To make your own etalk, you can adapt the how-to from the etalk howToMakeAnEtalk.
## SECOND STEP : MAKE YOU OWN ETALK
To make your own etalk, you can follow the how-to from the etalk _"Make your own etalk"_ accessing http://192.168.99.100:88
1. Create and name a folder that will contain the mp3 files inside `etalkapp/etalk-master/data/`
2. go to edit interface `http://<your ip>:88/edit` and start editing your etalk.
